I was doing some research trying to find a good place to sell whisky and I came across https://www.facebook.com/WhiskyAuctioneer (www.whiskyauctioneer.com) got an interesting competition going..and another http://www.just-whisky.co.uk/ ...
Anyway, I am likely to use an online auction site to sell my whisky - there seems to be quite a selection of sites these days...? Any recommendations? I know Scotchwhiskyauctions and whiskyauctions are established but one seems expensive and the other far away..I only have a few bottles, macallan royal wedding, private eye fortunately and a few less valuable bottles. I "think" I may wait 6 months and see what these new sites have to offer...prices should be fairly consistent as the bottle brings the value not the site?
BTW I have another question - should I sell a few ardbeg bottles, I am wondering if the still/very young have reached a good price
not a good start
there are also some other errors which i wont go into
not the best way to start a new auction site
We are striving to be the best whisky auction website and so welcome any comments and suggestions, particularly at this early stage.
especially if your running a whisky auction site
saying that some of the other auction sites have done the same thing
as i dont want to do all your work for you
ill give you a clue what you are saying is not correct the moral of the story says it all on the back of the label
I believe you are referring to the word 'includes', many thanks for pointing that out to me.
Writing these descriptions as well as starting a new business is as can be expected a learning curve.
o2o - I will be happy to discuss any potential sale with you, drop me a pm or contact me via my website please. We are currently offering 0% commission to sellers until January and hope to have ironed out my typing errors by then.
