Looking for a Laphroaig

Postby MrPitiful » Sat Nov 13, 2010 5:40 pm

Not a particularly collectable bottle, just one that I tasted and enjoyed. Can't find it anywhere:

Laphroaig, Murray McDavid Bottling, 1988 bourbon cask 2108, bottled 2001 at 46%.

Does anyone have one or know where I might find one?

If you are serious about finding one of these, contact royal Mile whiskies and if they find one they'll let you know. Here's the link:

Problem is, it's discontinued and may be quite pricey to acquire if they even find one!

Not exactly what you are after, but there is a bottle of 40 year old Laphroaig in a presentation pack (exactly like the one gifted to Sir Sean Connery), on the shelves of Federal Wine and Spirits in Boston, MA (www.federalwine.com). Price $3 500 I believe.
(I vainly thought it would be a couple of hundred, so won't get to try it!).
