He wants £600 for the 105, but I have spoken to a few members of staff at William Grant and sons and was told that any staff selling their bottles are expecting around £350 - £400.
The reserve as you know is still available at £365.00 I was told last week that they only have several bottles left dotted around various world of whisky outlets, when these are gone the value should rise. Another shop near me says he wont take a penny less than £750.00 for his bottle.
A bottle of centennial was on ebay last week and never met its reserve item number 270526627674 highest bid was £400 and there was 26 bids.
I think if you were to put all 3 into one lot at auction at Bonhams in America they would fetch a good price to a collecter who knows about them, think they would make a bit less here at the sale in Edinburgh.
Last Auction hammer prices for Centennial were 4th Nov 2009 @ McTears, 1 went for £300, the other was £320
The sale on 13 MAY 2009, one went under the hammer at only £75.00, the other in the same sale was £130.00
Like everything its supply and demand.
