Hi all. I need to make five selections off the below list for a tasting. I am sort of into scotch, but would be considered a newb by most, so I am asking for help in the tasting selections to get the best of what is available. I have only ever had the Glenlivet 12 and the Macallan 12 from this list. Thank you!
Abelour Sherry Cask 12
Aberlour Abunadh NAS
Auchentoshan Vilinch NAS
Balvenie Carribean Cask 14
Bowmore Small Batch NAS
Bunnahabain 12
Caol Ila 12
Dalwhinnie 15
Glengoyne 15
Glenlivet 12
Glenlivet French Oak Reserve 15
Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 12
Glenrothes Sherry Cask Reserve NAS
Highland Park 15
Jura Superstition 12
Macallan Sherry Oak 12
Oban 14
Old Pultney Duncansby Head NAS
Talisker 10
Please help with scotch selections for a tasting.

Out of your list I would possibly go for..
Glenlivet 12.
Dalwhinnie 15.
Balvenie 14.
Hp 15.
Talisker 10.
This way you are starting with a fresh, fruity delicate dram going into something a little more complex, then into a different sweeter finished whisky, then onto a smokey more complex whisky before finishing with a heavier peated finish.
It will of course depend on your guests, you could put abunadh in there but if your not used to cask strength whisky then you might affect your palates..
