Springbank 12 year Fino Sherry Cask

Postby talisker10 » Fri Feb 26, 2010 3:11 pm

It's a cask strength (56%), I drank this neat..no need for water.

Nose: Typical Springbank butter, flowers, but also with a nose of dried fruits like raisins

Mouth: A little bit of Springbank brine, light fruits (oranges), honey, but also with a strong sherry influence of raisins and plums.

Finish: Long and pleasant with spiced plums and a tad bit of smoke

I really like this, the sherry goes very well with the Springbank, but in the end I miss the flavors in the standard 10 year.
