Tasting new releases for the BCLCB

Postby Drammed » Thu Oct 29, 2009 12:34 am

Sorry all,

I put my tasting notes on page 560 of the "what are you drinking now" thread.

The whiskys were...

Amrut Cask Strength Limited Edition
Nikka Whisky from the Barrel
Woodford Reserve 1838 Sweet Mash Masters Collection
BenRiach 15 yr Tawny Port Finish
Bruichladdich 1989 Guigal Blanc Cask Strength
Macallan 21 yr Fine Oak

Matured cask

All I bought was the single cask of Arran, I thought, as usual, that the prices were over the top.Interestingly I arrived early expecting a line up but it was just me.....

Can't help but agree with your "well done" comment vis-a-vis the Benriach Tawny Port... It is a nice pour.

And thank you for your disparaging "smooth" assessment of the Macallan Fine Oak 21YO as well. Not rushing to lay down the asking price for this one anytime soon.
