I take it that the codes for the overall webpage were written by someone who spells "colour" as "color"? I noted this when I cut and pasted the "I want to play the Mystery Drams Christmas Game"

Is this instead of a post Christmas tasting we were thinking about? I was thinking of planning a post Christmas tasting online with Mr Fjeld and Matt on December 27th. The overall concept was that you would dram whatever you had received as a gift (from someone other than yourself) at Christmas. This would include any alcoholic beverage: SM, Tequila, beer, Acquavit, "Wodka" ... whatever you were gifted. But, it HAD to be a gift.

Of course I'm sure hoping someone has purchased a fine SM for ol' Musky to find under the tree Christmas morning!

...Santa?

Hi Peter, no this one is seperate to the other live tastings. I was waiting to hear about the 27th Dec one.

ps.. Entries for this game are now closed.

Looks like some of the old regulars don't even want to play with us anymore. Hahaha, sulky pants :P

I'm looking forward to this as well, it'll be fun to try and guess what I have, plus what everyone else is dramming.

Again, great idea Matt!

We've got your fellow North Americans to thank for that Musky , all code in HTML etc is spelt in American English , not in English English .

Yeah, I kinda figured that, but hey! any chance to tweak our southern cousins and I take it. They are really very good people and don't complain that they have to share the continent with us and their southern neighbours.

Besides, expect for the odd laxness in spelling and the odd accents, the Americans are pretty much identical to us in attitude and perspective.

(Can't believe I said "odd accents" we Canadians sound pretty odd to the old country ears, I understand!)

Aaarghh

I've either replied twice to my pm invite or not at all.

My replies haven't appeared in my sent items but sit proudly in my outbox.

I wanna play. How can I check to see if my replies have gone?

They tried in 1812 and we burned the Whitehouse for their insolence. Needless to say we've all gotten on famously ever since.

Hi Matt,

any news on when the samples may be sent out? According to the post office the last date for (potentially) guaranteed delivery this side of Christmas is the 20th, so hopefully you may have some good news for us.

Kind regards

Rob

Matt:
Thanks very much for all your efforts on our behalf. I will be delighted if anything makes it through the Bureaucratic net that is Canada's version of Cerebus.

4 sleeps to Christmas, I don't hold much hope for anything to arrive before then from across the pond.

LSD, if Matt wasn't able to send you a Mystery Dram because you were too late, then I will. Let me know if he hasn't got back to you, or if you were too late. :D :D

Has anyone seen their Mystery Dram yet?

So she said, "I got you what every 50 year old man dreams of - two 25 year olds!"

And there they were - Springbank and Caol Ila.
2x25 year olds!

Which, of course, offically makes her a "keeper"!

Excellent!!

Quick update - I've done nothing more since my last post ...

Sorry, really busy here, but will be getting onto it later in the month (after the all the other site updates have been done).

I have these ideas and then wake up in the middle of the night worrying about where I'm going to get the time to do them... must learn to keep quiet until I've set aside the time....

But at least the late comers can join as well, if you have PMd the admin or Mystery Drams you will be included.
