I'll agree with that - but it seems that those who don't haven't the guts to come out and say it! What I really enjoyed about tasting those four back to back was that there was a really clear progression in enjoyability through the age range.

18 for me. And I think Dan Air was right in saying that the Aberlour just gets better and better and better as you go through the range, :)

The 18 yo was the best, however I enjoyed them all and found that the flavours were remarkably consistent throughout, with the depth and smoothness of the 18 being the deciding factor (for me anyway).

Made myself a tasting session with A'bunadh(s) and 10,12,16 I had at home but... I just recently got a nice 18yo as a present !

As much an A'bunadh lover as I was and still am.. damn ! that 18 !... *#&$?% !!

I liked the 18, but the 16yo was a very close 2nd for me. Thanks again Matt for the samples!!

I have the Aberlour 16 opened right now. I also have the A'bunadh batches #16,#21 recently. Comparing the 16 and the A'bunadh, I would pick the A'bunadth.

Has anybody had the A'bunadth Silver Edition? I am contemplating on buying a bottle.

I agree with you there Leo, I prefer the a'bunadh over the standard bottlings of Aberlour. I just like the complexity and higher strength.

As far as the A'bunadth Silver Label Ed., I didn't even know it was still available??

The 18 yo didn't really do it for me, not sure why. I thought the 16 yo was the best I really liked it. Would also like to echo the thanks to Matt for the samples.

I'll go for a marginal win for the 18. The 16 is a very close second, but the nose on the 18 is what edges it really.

One or two have turned up in UK retailers in recent months. TWE still has one for £199.
