From Mrs Musky's perspective, it was a drunken binge...two Fridays running, at that! I was quite moderate in my dramming with the two "official*" tastings. However... when I woke up Saturday morning I thought it was Sunday and raced around getting everything done. Couldn't figure out why all the stores were open! Around 2:00 in the afternoon, I realised my error but all the weekend work was done!

*(I've attended the first two official onlines, which were actually the second and fourth, no-one at the first but me..then, Christian, I and a few stalwarts showed up at the spontaneous third!).

I'm planning on making it to the next couple onlines this month, which will result in my tasting for three out of four weeks if you include our "intercessional" this coming Friday the 2nd. Wonder how many days I'll lose each weekend this coming month?

And there was the Wednesday tasting right before the first official one :)

   Clearly you're both wrong! Peter had a first tasting alone and then came the spontaneous wednesday........... What was that about losing days again :D

I stand corrected. 1 and 2 were, respectively alone and then spontaneously, 3 and 4 were the official live uns!

We set up the spontaneous one for the wednesday 'cause Christian couldn't make it to the official 1st on friday. Why? 'cause he had to work on Friday.

Losing weeks now. Maybe I should seriously consider detoxifying... after November!

Muskrat, at least I think I'm Muskrat... maybe I'm really someone else...

No need for detox for any of us Peter! I'd lost a day here or there but the worst thing is I seem to have lost a whole season. Where did the summer go?

Any news on the tasting yet - date etc?

Nope, either Matt's very very busy or he's being rather coy about the date.

I can confirm that losing the summer had nothing to do with being intoxicated. I do not know where my summer went either, but that was long before I even started this fermented barley juice nonsense...

(Sorry my dear bottle of Ardbeg TEN, no need to get upset, I was only kidding..)

I think I may have had the same thing, not feeling great but the show must go on :)
It will be repeated next week and if you PM me your address there are still a few samples left which I can send out to you.

If we want to stay in the same stable of malts, there's always Aberlour. We could sample the 10 & 12 OBs and finish with a cross section of the A'Bunadhs.

Just thinking aloud.

Well being new and looking at my present inventory, I have a lot of Macallan, Laddie, Talisker, HP, but am agreeable to any thing.

...and being as I owe you a sampling, I could provide you with samples of whatever is in my little collection. Now we know that there's "reciprocity" between Ontario and Alberta!

I gotta curl Saturday and am trying to arrange a tasting with DiBlasi maybe Friday so other than that I'm up to playing with the "big boys" on the west coast.

As it's a "go" for us, what time do you want to start? Is 11:00 pm your time too late? I work a regular as opposed to early shift tomorrow so won't be off until 4 pm.

Johnathan: No problem I'll touch base to see where we stand. Saturday afternoon for me/ evening for you may be an option to pursue as well. Must keep the little missy happy!

Hey Peter, tonight will probably work better than tomorrow night, as there's a concert tomorrow night, and not sure I'm in the mood for 2 weekend nights out, and in the holiday season!! I may stay in tonight. Let's be in touch a little later....

Johnathan:
I'll log on at 4:00 pm Winnipeg time, I think it's 11:00 pm DiBlasi time (10pm GMT) and see where we stand.

I'm quite willing to wait until later in the evening to dram, once you are home for the evening. I'll check in as soon as I'm home. Danny in Calgary is interested as is Matt and maybe, if we're very lucky, we'll see Christian, Oldrip, Ganga & M  Mikey and mayhaps even, the elusive of late, K-Mile as well. Ian would be a bonus if he's at loose ends tonight, as would everyone else who wants to play.

I'll look for you later this evening...

...I gotta tell you, posting at 8 am, but thinking along the lines of "it's already late afternoon there" is a strain on the old internal clock. It's already 3:30 pm where you are!

Looks like I'll be staying in afterall, but not sure what time I'll be on as I'm planning to have some wine and cheese when the woman of the house returns from work.

Hey hey everybody I missed last night, sorry. Had a bit of wine and cheese with the misses when she returned from a full day of work, got around to talking a bit, then got a late night invite to a neighbor's, so never got back on the pc to enjoy the tasting with you all, SORRY again! Let's try and do it another time, I still have the samples. Not tonight, maybe Sunday night? Let's see....

I might just drink these babies one evening all alone. The samples are just sitting here by the PC, enticing me...no, be strong, have more coffee, it's morning in Canada...damn! Logic wins yet again. As you are aware DiBlasi, I sure could use a drink right about now!

Hi all, I'm really tied up for the next couple of weeks, but let me know if you start a live tasting and I will get the pages setup for you and then I can leave you to it.

I want to organise another one around xmas / new year, will see how things go. Then maybe we can start a regular schedule in the new year...

I'm back tasting the Glenlivet 12y now. Damn good whisky, just perfectly hitting the spot, my mood! Fresh, fruity, not too light but easy drinking and enjoyable!

Drat! If I'd logged on sooner, I'dve only been 7 hours behind! Having a Springbank 10 and looking for the BBCodes... not here!

Yeah, I tried, with disasterous results. Must have run into a "bug" or a "bot".
