I need to head off to run some errands. Thank you Ian for joining us, and now I have to go out and pick up an 18 for further research.

Good evening, thank you for posting all.
I only have two samples for this tasting.
The first one is a 1995 14yo cask no 144363 oloroso sherry butt, bottled at 46% by Van Wees.

Glenlivet 1995 14yo oloroso sherry butt no. 144363 46%.
n: red apples, vanilla, cinnamon, leather, wax, tea, after water, almonds,
t: creamy, malt, apples
f: citrus with chocolate, red apples again
c: very good imo. although the strong cask influence there is still the taste of whisky. more complex than my notes suggest. recoevering from a cold...

Glenlivet 1994 14yo 61% Adelphi
n: other times it was full of smell, tonight after giving the whisky some time it is smelling 'dry' and that's about it. after water and some more time: hints of tobacco. more water again, finally things start happening: apple jam, malts, grass, vanill, honey, the dyry smell keeps returning, it smells like shells on the beach, reminds me of Bowmore Enigma.
t: sweet and citrus with hints of coffee
f: some more of the taste remaining.
c: not so good this one. I remember this one being better a few weeks ago when I opened the sample, so maybe the sample went bad.
