The almost full bottle was a gift from Bachess who didn't like it. Very generous to give it to me, thanks for that Bachess.
I also have a sample of the DE ready for tasting.

Clynelish DE 15 yo 1992 Oloroso finish 46%
Clearly related to the 14yo. But with a quiet a lot of chocolate and some truffles too.
very creamy, fruits, new wood, vanilla, honey, mocca.|
menthol, lemonade, molasses, tabacco
sweet lemon, mocca, pure chocolate.
I would describe this one as a sweet mocca cream dram.

I remember it has a lot of chocolate mainly in the taste. I was also pleasantly suprised by the truffles that I could smell together with some walnuts.
Another whisky I quiet like.
The ob's seem to be very different from the ib's I've had. In these I don't taste any salt.
Clynelish 14yo, 46%, 1992/2007, SMOS Cask #1607
Nose: Some salt, sweet bourbon like notes (vanilla), also I'm finding this a bit floral, which also reminds me of bourbon.
Palate: Oily and sweet, coats the palate well. A nice mix of vanilla and it's a tad buttery as well.
Finish: Some salt comes through in the finish, but it remains sweet with a whisp of smoke towards the end.
Comment: Overall, a very nice dram, and a good example from this distillery. Unfortunately I have nothing else here to compare this one too, but I really enjoyed it.
