2 reasons for picking the Mac. It's the only one on the list I've tried and if you want to share it with someone at the reunion, the Mac might go over best. YMMV, of course...

Only tried the Mac 12 and Bowmore 12 out of those, but I'd go with Macallan 12 as well. I would've chosen the a'bunadh, but the ~60% ABV might be a bit too much depending on:

a) how big the flask is, and
b) how long the reunion lasts.

Besides, the Mac 12 is just a reaaaally good dram

I'd say Macallan too (unless your reunion turns half as boring as our previous one did, then A'bunadh might be the only way to go  )

Lets see here...if you wear a casual suit you have 2 front pants pockets... 2 in back..2 in the front of the jacket and 1 vest pocket....7 pockets...7 choices...coincedence? I think not! :D

If you're going to be able to pour it into a glass, take whatever the mood dictates that evening. If you're going to be sneaking it directly from the flask, then whatever's cheapest. In any case, it's not really a tasting occasion, so take something enjoyable, but not very demanding.

Aberlour a'bunadh
If all I was bringing was a flask it would have to be cask strength!

I would go for the Aberlour but only to see their faces when drinking such a strong whisky for the first time.. I remember laughing at my brother wincing when he had a mouthful of batch 19.

The A'bunadh for the same reasons that Willie said really.

I would say The Macallan 12, cause I have this one and not the others!
Although, I tasted the Finlaggan and it's a rather good one. So, succes with your choice, Ganga!

I'm speaking out of turn here, but I would guess that it's not a matter of being drunk - rather a matter of lacking any good choice at the event. It's like when a company has an open bar for a Christmas party and the only whisky option is Dewar's.
