we need a new poll so.... be honest, how many nights a week do you consume the 'water of life' on average?

ps: if you are afraid to post your answer, then you can fake it and say once per week..... :P

Answer for would have to be 3-4 times a week. There are weeks that I would have one nearly every night but then others that I'd not part take at all .... but usually every second night is a safe bet and I take the odd week off too as I'm ashamed to say  I can get tired of drinking whiskey (even in small amounts) every night....

Average about 3 times a week I think. Sometimes none at all, sometimes 5 days. I don't think I've ever had an entire week, every day. My budget wouldn't allow me to though. And I'd rather drink one good dram a week than 7 cheap ones. Quality certainly beats quantity.

Once to twice a week; as Feldrin states quality over quantity and I want to keep the whisky-enjoyment a bit "special" ...

2-3 times a week. My off-days and the occasional evening after work.

Probably 3 or 4 times a week.
Really enjoy putting my feet up with a wee glass of something as I try finish off the day's newspaper.

Always like to have to two straight days a week with nothing stronger than a soda and lime. No idea if it does me any good, but I'm sure it can't do any harm.

Twice a week for me, Monday to Friday and again at weekends!

Highly variable, depending on my highly variable work schedule and my highly variable mood. And that's as specific as I'm going to get!

Twice every other weekend. Since I work one week and have one week off it tends to be restricted by this. However, last autumn I discovered Happy Thursday and recently also that it was Friday two times a week.

The funny thing is, if I have one it is a superb experience and all the tones and complexity can be enjoyed. If I take a second one...it is basically a wasted dram as it just has no taste anymore...might just be me?

Some where between 2-4. If I've had a particularly bad day I'll have one.
If I've had a good day I'll have one :)

Although I like IWC's idea of having one only on days that end in Y.

hmmm I suppose wasted dram will have different meanings for each person though a second dram not having any taste seems a bit odd.... perhaps it's just you, try drinking a lot of water or clean your palate in some other way (food?).... whilst the 2nd dram may not be as 'crisp' in terms of the first, you should surely be able to taste it and enjoy it.

I suppose with a username like yours, you wouldn't fake it and choose once a week, so no worries, enjoy each day. :) 8)

P.S...can you "Imagine" a world without the Beatles? Every bit as much variety as the world of malt whisky.

Now that I am on vacation it is every day. It is wonderful to be able to drink whisky at 11:00 am. :) However, usually it is only 2-3 times per week with the occasional 6 week stretch when I drink no alcohol at all. :(

I aspire to drink at least once a night.

If I don't drink in any given evening, I definitely miss it! So many bottles, so little time!

There was a medical study made several years ago where they stated that those people who take a drink a day have less incident of heart problems than those who never drink.

Not too long ago, another study said that imbibing two drinks a day is much better than those who never drink at all. For the heart again.

I had a problem with the heart 21 years ago but not anymore. I always follow what the study says. :D
