I voted for Campbletown, second choice would be Lowland. i certainly hope it's not something as predictable as islay.

I will say this, it would have been easier for me to vote if I knew what bottles you were looking at opening.

Yep only 3, but I personally haven't had a whisky from there I didn't like.

I'll vote Islay. The hotter it gets the better those very young cask strength Islays taste. At least that has been my experience.

The spring-into-summer period of the year is a wonderful time, what with everything blossoming (plants and ladies, if you know what I mean) and the chill of winter rapidly becoming a distant memory.

In that light, I voted Lowland, as I really appreciate the delicate complexity of many of the malts of this region around this part of the year. Of course, when the long, hot days of summer arrive, I'll also settle down with lots of Bourbon or Canadian whisky, be it on the rocks or poured as a long drink.

Sorry... Got diverted there for an instant.

Lowlands? Rosebank, for sure. Simply beautiful. All the better if its a cask strength version. And Bladnoch, with its deft melding of sticky citrus sweetness and breadth of floral overtones, definitely strikes the spring-summer 'bell-tones' perfectly. Once again, the higher the proof, the better. Love the 17-year old 55%ABV releases from the distillery last year.

Highland - OP12...the hotter it gets the better the light crisp flavours become.

I really like Glenlivets in the summer, so why not a Nadurra?
But then a lowlander is a great summer whisky as well.

Go for a Highland/Speyside, gives you most scope, then you can start another poll asking which one

Definitely split between Speyside and Campbelltown.
I am currently drinking Aberlour 12 and enjoy a "young"Springbank too!
Decisions, decisions - what the heck get a taste of both!
