I'm new to this forum, but I would really like your opinion on which whisky I ought to purchase next. So far my favourite whiskies have been: Talisker 18, Ardbeg Uigeadail and Laphroaig QC.

Have you got taste notes for Longrow? Because it's supposed to be quite smoky and peaty as well, isn't it?
To be honest I can't sleep properly if I don't have a bottle of CV at home.
Not to mention that here in Sweden the CV is almost twice the price of the Ileach.
This sure is lovely stuff. Subtly smokey, but quite sweet and hard to fathom. Great advice guys, I'm liking this very much! Tasting notes will follow soon, as well as a rating.
Nose: slight peat smoke, tobacco, a light sweetness, aniseed, mustard and strawberry cake
Palate: sweeter than the nose suggests, cough syrup, again that slight peatiness, powerful, strawberry cake
Finish: medium long, sweet, aniseed, mint, some peat, smoke, gets drier and slightly briney
Great whisky, this. I find it a bit sweet, but it works very well here, because it's balanced by that lovely subtle peat. I just love the artisan-ness of this whisky: the colour (probably because this is made from a variety of cask types) is a bit messy, greenish, but totally natural. Also, the 46ABV gives you a bit of oomph, thouhg personally I like to add a small drop of water (not too much though: I think, when I had a glass last week, I added too much and drowned it, it became really flat).
My score: 88/100 (would've been 90, but the finish should have been a bit longer).
I very much recommend this.
