North Third. About three miles from Stirling.
Been trying to get this photo for years and it was only with the aid of my digital camera and computer that I was finaly able to do it as a montage.
(Picture decreased in size)
MrTattieHeid.... You must have sharp eyes to have spotted three joints. I did the thing and can only spot two (one is to the right of the first brown cow watching me taking its photo)
The image is made up by the union of six photographs shot on a wee Fuji FinePix A600 delivering 6.3 mp. No special lenses.
All the donkey work was done in Photoshop 7
dram_time....Sign a piece of white paper, scan it and save as a jpeg, open the picture you want (in Photoshop) and then open the image of your signature. Drag your signature onto your picture and using 'Magic Eraser' erase the white background. Use contrast or similar to darken your actual signature, move it to where you want it to be and then 'Flatten Image'
Hope all that helps and makes sense.
Some day I'll break down and get the full Photoshop--Elements seems to be enough for me, though.
I have a Fuji FinePix S6000--looks like an slr, but with a fixed lens, 28-300--is that basically the same camera? Another thing on my list, a real digital slr at 10 megs or so, but this is fine for what I do.
Discarding about a quarter of each image from each side makes (for me) the merging of frames a lot easier.
Jan, so many people go to Glasgow, Edinburgh, maybe Inverness...I always try to get people to go to the west coast, and especially the northwest. Where dt lives (or lived--did you move, dt?), up around Ullapool, it's pretty hard to take a bad picture! Beautiful, beautiful country.
That Polly is really stacked, eh?
