Singleton of Auchroisk

Postby a11ndy » Tue Dec 06, 2016 6:07 pm

Hi everyone,

I've just joined today and after a look about the site, it seams friendly.

i have a few bottles which most probably have.

Anyway I'm looking for help. I picked up a 70 cl of The Singleton Of Auchroisk 10year old and Im sure i paid more than its worth but due to being discontinued I took a gamble.

Do any of you know what it would be worth? can't decide if I should drink it or not haha.

thanks,
Andy.

It's in production now, so it's not worth anything yet. Once it's no longer available, you'll have to find someone who was a fan. That is, if there's no equivalent replacement on the market. I would assume Diageo will continue to supply the market with Auchroisk of about that age. Unless they're discontinuing it because nobody likes it. In which case you probably won't be able to sell it.

I loved guzzling 4-shot servings of JB in college and now I'm holding this ancient green-glassed quart bottle of Jameson Irish Whiskey that I found stashed away in my old man's wine cellar just now. It was made in Dublin but imported by Calvert Distillers out of NYC. Do you think it's safe to drink?
