I guess all that sherry gives them plenty of colouring anyway. Colour is maintained by vatting.

Actually, at the risk of rocking the boat, there are one or two OB Macallan bottlings that had caramel added.

I don't have the particular expressions to hand, but I'll check them at home tonight and let you know. Although, surprisingly, I seem to recall that one of the Gran Reserva bottlings was one of them!
