Actually tried this in the Lochside Hotel on friday night , was pleasantly surprised by it , was expecting it to be awful given the hype.....

Hurrah it's still Xmas ( :| ), or at least the tree survived round 1 of the in-house de-Christmassing.

Interesting. Lovely soft malt barley on the nose balanced quite well with crisper grain. Minerally. Palate is weaker but still ok being oakey. So far so good.

Eager to open the Rattray's 19yo Malt Blend (amongst many other things), but i'll wait until i'm feeling better, so working on the cheap drinkers, right now Glenfiddich 18 -- 'salreet.

Tbh Willie i bought a couple small collections of cheap drinkers about 18 months ago from two private individuals.

One of them literally from a car boot in a car park. :smoke:


£65 :o . I see a couple places selling at an older price of £50+ change, and a few at £70. It's tricky keeping up these days.

A huge pot of Ethiopian Limu coffee. Cheap as chips and rather nice for the money.
