Have opened it , it's not as bad as the Gorda casks ! think it needs time to air (and probably warm up seeing it's been effectively outside for 2 days....) .
Somethings confusing me about it tho , it says Aug 1996 as the distillation date , 10yo as the age but it's in a new style bottle.....
I'd be interested to hear what they say when you ring up to cancel , presumably they'll ask you why ? There's still enought to keep me interested in the Society for the time being......
It's terrible that they can't answer any comments regarding bad bottlings , i posted another thing on the Facebook page , this time about the tasting notes and how some of them don't bare any resemblance to the whisky , Guess what ? No reply !

Hope you like the Tali18, I now I loved my bottles. Have one left wishing I could get more at reasonable price.
Loving it even more than the last bottle I had C. Very complex and soooooooooo long. Not as peaty as the 10 but that lovely swirling smoke that intertwines with all the other flavours, something that I get in some Japanese whisky's. Still one of the best whisky's I've ever had.
IMO this is a steal - cost was EU136.00 and by a 7:2 ratio a PE 5th Release 200ml would run about EU100.00 or more. So you get a Laga 12, Laga 16, CI 12 and CI 18 200ml for EU9.00 each. Even in Europe this is a great value...in South Africa it's ridiculously cheap.
Becuase it's brilliant, rarer than hens teeth, good value, and I'd be gutted if I didn't buy one to put away for future. I've only ever seen 2 for sale and I've bought them both now.
