That is indeed a very nice buy, Sean. I've never had a Talisker 18yo. Here it costs about 69 €. You think it's worth my money because I'm not to fond of the 10yo.

I haven't bought much lately though I picked up a Laphroaig 10 CS Batch 002 and an El Dorado 12yo Rum today.

Cheers!

These 5 arrived yesterday, there should have been 6. The one they forgot to put in is one it's way, thank goodness.

OK, it's safe to fill you in now. Last Tuesday I met I_SPEY who came to visit me at my house. We've been mailing for almost a year now. We got along very well I must say. He's a very nice guy. Anyway. He could choose between two Amrut bottles to take home. One was a Peated Cask Strength 62.8 % and the other one was a Blackadder for The Nectar 62.1 % (2010 edition). He picked the latter one. Damn right he did.
Recently I ordered another Caol Ila Moch and an Amrut Blackadder 46 %.

That's a shame Nick because as far as I can tell the mods have got the spam under control.

JW Gold... Simply because it's been a while since I've 'done' a bottle of this blend.

My goodness it's been a while since I last posted on the forums...!

Not too many new acquisitions, just Miyagikyo 10 and a Spirit of Unity which is yet to be shipped.

Actually, I've noticed that the reason I haven't picked up much whisky recently is because I've been paying frequent visits to Slow Beer and Chapel St Cellars here in Melbourne, both of which have a stunning array of microbrews from around the world. Working up one fine beer gut here. :D

Ash, some notes on the Miya 10 on the live tasing this month would be great.

Bunnahabhain Cruach Mhona. Lots going on with this whisky. I like it a lot, but can't decide whether its just very good or great. The official tasting has marmite on toast which I don't get, but I do get the bbq pig, smoke and salt water.
My next purchases are Benriach Bernie Moss Heavily Peated, Compass Box Peat Monster and Longmorn 16.

Awesome, that's made me feel a bit more reassured about my purchases! I kind of regret not picking up the OMC Fettercairn 13yo 1991/2005 REF1327; only the one bottle left.

Not a purchase but a present, (hope that counts!)

It's an 'Old Pulteney' 12 year old - unopened.

Will power or what?!
