Hopefully it'll be here before next weekend.

They are really quick with shipping so you should be fine.

This morning I drove down to Antwerp to collect my Bruichladdich 1970 44.2 % OB and while I was in the shop I also bought a Caol Ila 25yo 1978 59.4 %. I found these in a small whisky shop, by accident really, at very interesting prices. Here's one happy camper!! :D

The 80 or 90 proof? The 90s definitely the better of the 2.

90 proof. I wouldn't bother picking up any 80 proof bourbon from the bottom shelf.

Well the 90 is a good bang for the buck like you said, but certainly nothing that will go in the annals of bourbondom. I have no complaints with it at all, but it certainly lacks the depth and complexity of my preferred pours.

The Balvenie Signature, batch 3. Just picked it up at the local LCBO and it's already slated for de-listing!

Honestly, I don't know where their heads are when it comes to hard liquor, especially single malts. A pretty daft bunch running the LC from Toronto, in my opinion.

If Im not mistaken they had that for over a year now and looks like the stock hasnt moved! If they delist it, it will probably just be in with the vintages program

Y2M. I've been looking for this for over 6 months, diligently checking the local LC every week or so and they just received these as they weren't in when I picked up the Jura last week. I have a 1,2 and 3 finally, and can only assume that Balvenie is probably up to 6 by now.

Had a great day today in Chester and kept it quiet from my better half that I knew Chester Whisky Shop was there- I stumpbled upon the shop Dear!

Anyway met Sinclair who talked me into walking away with a Exclusive Malt Glen Keith, 11yr old - 55.1%. Loved it in the shop and will be opened shortly during the Rememberance Service on the box.

Okay LSD...have i missed something? have you finished Law School and are now gainfully employed? Or did you recently marry well?

You are finally making improvements to your collection in leaps and bounds. Nice to see but ...how?

Thanks to a well stocked duty free @ Stansted, I've bought my first bottles of Ardbeg Corryvreckan & Uigadaeal, Lagavulin 12yo and Talisker 57^ (1litre!). Just opened the Talisker for now, with the rest going onto my special whisky collection. Only whish I'd had a larger suitcase to bring back. So many bargains!

Nice one, Nick! Last week I went to Antwerp to collect my Bruichladdich 1970 OB at a reasonable price. And I came home with a Caol Ila 25yo 1978 59.4% vol. as well for a good price.

Grand Traverse Distillery "OLD GEORGE" at $48.
If it works out, I'm going back for a 5 litre keg of the "raw" stuff for $69.
The owner say's the small kegs age in about a year.
