Egads. Hope to see a review of that up on nonjatta! I pretty much know nothing about Kirin whiskies, my experiences with them have been to do with beer and nothing else.

I've had a couple of Kirin's Ash, one hit, one miss. I also have another Kirin that will be coming out from Japan with the Sanroku 18.

Really curious to hear of your impressions of this edition, Les, as it just may make its way to my neck of the woods sometime in the future (hoping, hoping!).

I really enjoyed this one dramtastic.

Good to know Ganga, JM gave it fair rap as well. This one's going into the retirement collection along with the Springer and 69 Longmorn above so it'll be a while till I get a taste.

2x Wilson & Morgan 'Peaty Five' (43%).
Ardbeg Corryvreckan (L9 166).

It's always nice to have an open bottle of the Corry around. :)

Arriving tomorrow is my Arran 15th Anniversary and I recently took delivery of my Amrut Double Cask and Earl Magnus Highland Park along with A Wemyss Peaty Chimney 5yo.

I bought a whole lot of other for the club but those don't really count.

Hi Les, does the new livery a'bunadh start with batch 30? Can't go wrong with a'bunadh no matter if it's the old or new packaging. I am going to sample the new Aberlour 10 sherry cask finish tonight...

Hi Lawrence hope you are well. The packaging looks very much like the previous bottlings that we have come to know and love.

Elijah Craig 12 for $14.99
Couldn't resist just wanted some bourbon. And the price was right even if I have to leave it behind.

Interested in your thoughts on this batch Sean.
Some are saying it's even better than #20!

It's a superb batch on par with batches 14 and 20.

I need to try this one.

Greetings from Berlin Germany!
While seeing the sights of Berlin I stumbled across a whisky shop, Wein & Whisky and came away with a Caol Ila Cask Strength 61.1%. Lovely stuff, perfect for that late night unwind!

Cheers!

I know that shop! I've ordered from him over the internet last year or so. If I'm not mistaken he also sells on e-bay.

It's not the biggest shop in the world but it was loaded from top to bottom with whisky and some fine bottles indeed! Still can't figure out the "Wein" part, maybe the Proprietor?
