Bought a Couple of Amruts at last nights India Vs Scotland Whisky Lounge Tasting....
Amrut Cask strength Peated
Amrut "Fusion"
Can't say too much about the tasting at the moment as Eddie has a few more of these lined up but what a great night .
Amrut is a real surprise !
Ashok (Chokalingham) is a really Knowledgeable and funny guy , learned a hell of a lot about Indian whisky tonight .
Full report later in the year on "A Whiff of Peat Smoke...." .
If you're going to one of the India Vs Scotland Whisky Lounge tastings elsewhere in the UK later in the year , you're in for one hell of a night !
If you're near York on the 27th Oct or London on the 16th Nov book these tastings now !!!

Can you tell me where you bought the Hazelburn 12 from? The only place I found that had any stock of this left was Milroy's of Soho but their shipping costs to Australia where to exxy.

Thanks

Thanks

I bought it from cadenhead's and don't think there is a problem with stocks as It's only just been released. Its currently on TWE and RMW and may eventually find its way to a shop near you if there is a local Springbank importer.

Thanks Willie, when I first tried to order it, it was the first release and both TWE and RMW had sold out. Second release out now.

That' s easy Sinclair.

1. On the bottle of the first edition it says "First Edition" in big letters on the front lable of the bottle and also of the cardboard/plastic box

2. The 1st ed. came out with three different lable picutures, 3 X 1700 bottle with with the motivs a.) cask b.) malting floor c.) stills were released

3. The 1st edition came in a taller bottle, the 2nd edition was filled in the caracteristic distillery bottles with "Springbank Distillery" engraved in the glas.

4. The 2nd edition quotes "Triple Distilled" on the front lable. The front label shows a painting of three stills (the stills motiv on the 1st edition looked rather photorealistic)

Sorry my mistake. While reading the TWE page for this whisky I misinterpreted the words, second official release from Hazelburn. What they meant was second official release after the 8 year old.

They were out of stock when I first looked hence my thinking there was a second release of the 12 now they have some more.

My remarks were related to the first two official 8y.o. releases of Hazelburn.
Willi is right about the 12 y.o.. There has just been one release untill today.

Sullivans Cove Cask Strength bourbon maturation, barrel no. HH0281. An impulse buy encouraged by national pride and a score of 94.5 for a different batch in JMWB.
