Vic, lets try that Danish Whisky. Fary Lochan.

Hmmm, Aroma is rather interesting, definitely not Scotch, but at this point not bad. A great deal of pine and cedar wood, touch of spices, and a touch of peat smoke. It does smell quite a bit like a carpenters shop.

Taste is very pleasing, sweet somewhat drying. A lot of interesting spices, and the pine and cedar wood notes are there in full force again. In the finish the peat comes back with a lot more spices and fruits. I dare say spiced apple cobbler at the end.

I reiterate not Scotch, but why should all whisky be Scotch? This distillery knows what they are doing.

The Ganga said you were lonely Vic... give me the last pour in the 2007 Vina Eguia Reserva.

This wine good, but unremarkable.

Rent is due. I'm waiting.

Think I'll wander over to the silent stills section for a Port Ellen.

Hey! I found a new link in the LCBO website: https://www.lcbo.com/whisky/shop/section.shtml
You can browse what's in the province and use the link to find amounts on hand! A quick call to the local LCBO with the LC number and it's yours!

I may have to celebrate with a dram of 1977 HP. It's looking a bit murky.

Ganga:
You serious about visiting the homeland in 2015? I'm looking at end of May - beginning of June for two weeks or longer. Depends on what Mrs Musky will allow.

Definitely. Just need to see when The Ardbeg Project is planning on going. I believe he is looking at early June of next year.

My contacts over there are recommending B&B's to stay at . Once I have things a bit firmed up I'll touch base. June 4, 2015 I need to be at Laphroaig to visit my plot. Anything else is pretty much in the planning stages.

Poor devil, drinking alone in this big empty bar. We should plan to have a dram together some evening.

Wee young Ganga; Hope you are able to attend a Burns function this weekend. Just finished an Ardbeg Corryvreckan, now off to bed. To build up my strength to dram tomorrow at Our Burns dinner.

Hmmm, me, 6 'bots and 43 visitors mostly looking at the index page. Pretty lonely in here, time for a Kilchoman 10 y.o. blue box, Victoria, to drown my loneliness.
