Maybe this is a throwback to the whisky they sold on the 'Plains 100+ years ago called "firewater" which was , if memory serves me right, rotgut whisky mixed with pepper and gunpowder. The NWMP stamped it out back then, maybe their present day offspring, the RCMP, outta do the same to this version.
Mostly, it just tastes like those cinnamon hearts that are popular around valentines day. The drink has a high sugar content, and IMHO it works best as a shooter or with a mixer.
If you like trying different things, you might find it worth picking up a small bottle.
