McCarthy's 3 Year Old Oregon Single Malt... A most worthy spirit that is now the stuff of memories, excepting a 50ml 'library' sample retained for future reference.

Ardbeg Uigeadail (L10). Celebrated my brother's wedding on Saturday. Five of us killed it in one sitting. This is a gem whisky and I will go back to grab another bottle tomorrow for the drinking stock. Still, H2H I would give the Corry a slight nod over this new Oogie. Just a slightly better balance and harmony of tastes.

What great whiskies this and the 1980 edityion (bottled in 2000) were!

Tonight, for me, another empty bottle of Ardbeg 10 Year Old goes into the recycling bag.

"Edityion"... That's Byzantine text for "edition".

Glenmorangie Original, I probably won't bother to replace it, it was good, but I can't help but wonder how much better an caramel free, non-chill filtered version would be.
It was my 'everyday' dram but has been replaced by the Old Pulteney 12

Glenrothes Select Reserve; decent, but I'm not sure I would purchase again. Nonetheless, a good value.
