Likewise. May have to purchase a backup for that backup, though.

Watched a film "Outlaw" (Sean Bean, Danny Dyer) with a Glenlivet 12 year old.

Sad to see the end of the Glenlivet, not sad to see the end credits come up on the movie. It was awful!

Which, I suppose, is why a little voice in my head told me to stash a bottle away a little while back.

My latest recycling of an empty is the Caol Ila 1996 Distillers Edition... A very good whisky it was, too.

Bruichladdich Resurrection. Apart from the last two servings which were severely bitter, t'was a good whisky overall.

I really enjoy my Livet Archive. From about what year was your bottle from TTD?

Batch 1107A is as much as I can tell you, Sean (the bottle's 'toast' and all I have on file are images of the box).

As for Islay Mist, I've just 'vacuumed' out the remaining contents of a bottle of the 12 Year Old, which, in its own way, has proved every bit as enjoyable as the 17 Year Old.

Yes, NAS. I didn't think much of it. I tried it last year as a sample and at that time I liked it but ever since I bought a bottle I changed my mind. I never really liked it and I don't think I'll buy another bottle of this.

Actually, I had it about 5 years ago and I was glad to get rid off it. Never really liked it very much.
Just finished my Laph 10yo BTW. Finally!!

Good ol' Laphroaig 10 yo @ 43%. Have been drinking all sorts of other stuff but was recently reacquainted with this wonderful bottle after I found it hiding in the back of the cupboard. The rest of it didn't last long!

Awesome and good to know!

I picked one of these up in Taiwan earlier this year - i haven't cracked it yet, but I've heard that it's a tasty treat! Please tell me what I'm missing :) (must not open MORE bottles!!!).

My first bottle of Kirkland Signature Bourbon is done, but I picked up a replacement this past weekend, so not a total loss.

The weather is cooler with more rain which of course means it's getting back to serious whisky time. I know some will say that it's always the right time. However, I find my drinking slowing down a lot in the summer but picking back up in the fall.

Last night's kill was a bottle of Laga 12yo, 2009 edition. I've been a big fan of this since the early 2000's and am always sure to have a few in reserve!
