Closed distilleries, lost malts Edinburgh 8.6.17

Postby Jolly Toper » Thu May 11, 2017 8:58 pm

A friend has asked to help him drink some properly rare whisky: all cask strength etc - Glenlochy 1977 17yo Cadenheads, Carsebridge 1982 33yo Douglas Laing, Glenisla 1977 34yo Signatory, Craigduff 1973 1973 Signatory & Mosstowie 1978 32yo Signatory. Now you can imagine how much he'd get by auctioning these bottles but that's not what it's about, however I believe the ticket price is realistic these days: £50, which is a tenner a dram, you'd no get that in any o' those fancy boozers pal.

What else are you going to be doing on an otherwise dull mid week day such as the 8th of June?

So with just one ticket left can I ask attendees to cough up or be 100% trust worthy for payment on the night?. You can square me up with cash between now and then or I can provide bank details. These bottles are not mine so I'll have to be firmer about securing payment for tickets in order that if there are last minute call offs we revert to the old style agreement - if you call off and I or you can re-sell your ticket then your not out of pocket but if the tasting is a sell out and you can't make it and there are no takers for your ticket then you get the drams as a carry out. Deal?
