What is the word " nowt" ? I realize this a UK publication, but how about something for the rest of the English speakers? I get my copies in the Colonies, USA ( Ha Ha). Keep up the good work.

What's the world coming to - the American's are criticising the British on language...what has the world come to!
Note the use of "s" in criticising.

A Yorkshireman's Advice to his Son:
"See all, hear all, say now't ... Eat all, sup all, pay now't ... And if ever tha does owt for now't, allus do it for thisen."
My Grandfather was a proud Yorkshireman, whom referred to his ilk as "Improved Englishmen".
The above quote was one of his favorite sayings and uses "now't" in the proper context.
