Re: WHAT ARE YOU READING NOW? (whisky books only)

Alas, Appreciating whisky had to be returned to the library.

I recently finished "The Whisky Men" - lots and lots of information on distilling in the old days. I would say "a must" for anyone with a fairly recent historical interest in distilleries.

Re: What is your most recent (whisky) purchase.

Trip to Scotland netted a reasonable haul.

1 Ardbeg "Uigeadail"
2 Cragganmore "Distillers Edition"
3 Bunnahabhian 12 - (Couldn't resist under £20)
4 AnCnoc 12
5 Glenlossie 12
6 Edradour "Single Cask 56%" 13 year old.

Some good bargains to be had in Edinburgh! :)

Craggy 12 followed by another Craggy 12 and then another Craggy 12.

There is something about this whisky that just keeps drawing me towards the bottle which is now looking too low to leave very long!

Collins Whisky Map of Scotland is readily available. I don't know your location but I got mine at "Doune" castle of all places. However, you could order it: ISBN 978 - 0 - 00 - 728949 - 3 The Speyside "inset" is on the same page and and there is quite a lot of other useful stuff ...

A Glen Moray 10y.o. - Not dazzling but pleasant enough for a Summers' evening. The second one I added an "ice cube" and a very satisfactory cool, light drink it was.
