Whisky-related dog name...help!

OK, gang...my family is getting another dog this week...a male Old English Sheepdog puppy! Problem is...as the only other male in the house (at least the only one who can talk), I'm trying to keep the women of the family from sticking this poor puppy with a name that would get its butt kicked in the...

Great to meet you as well, Dave...this was one of the best festivals I've ever attended! I share your compliments to Lawrence and the gang...the whiskies and master classes were excellent, the food was amazing, and Victoria is a beautiful place...I'll be back!

Treacle...you guys will be getting the US style bottle in the next year or so...I talked with Jim Rutledge at Four Roses recently and asked about those bottles after seeing them in Paris, and he said that they've been so busy getting their US distribution expanded that they haven't had a chance to g...

Sorry, my friend...I'll be glad to correct it on the next episode. For those of you wondering just what the hell he's talking about, he's the featured guest on this week's episode of WhiskyCast! Problem is, I referred to him as a "transplanted Englishman", which to a Yorkshireman is appare...

Re: Bourbon

Real men drink Wild Turkey 101. For me it is the one that I compare all others against That is not to say that there are not better bourbons available but for the price it is the clear choice in my book. I have wanted to try some Buffalo Trace but I have not been able to locate any in New Jersey so...

Re: Whisky Live Toronto 2007

A great improvement on last year! The hall was full all evening along, and there was an energy in the room that was sadly missing last year. I'm glad I made the trip...even if I did have to wait for two hours at the border coming home on Sunday...(and no, I did NOT get strip-searched).

I'm leaving in the morning to drive up, with a stop at Kittling Ridge on the way. I understand the concerns others have posted about the relative lack of exhibitors compared to last year...for me, it's a chance to get some interviews and see some friends!

Re: What did you drink last night?

Congrats, Oiler! Nothing last night...but went to a tasting of single-estate Cognacs and Armagnacs the other night. Got to try Marcel Trepout Armagnacs from 1893, 1925, and 1957...along with the 20 and 30-year-old versions (even got to take some of the 1957 and 1893 home!). The Armagnacs just seemed...
