Re: question on Single malt wiskey

I would also add that a peaty cask could come from the barrel. Penderyn, for example, did not add peat to their whisky but did use barrels that previously held peated whisky which resulted in their slightly peated single malt. The type of peat used will also make a difference. The Peat on Islay is d...

I actually have to drop one day and I would prefer it to be the Sunday but it could be the Saturday. I have already bought non refundable train tickets for the Saturday so if I sold these instead I would have to charge more than face value (£30 per ticket instead of £20) otherwise I would be just as...

Hi, My personal preference for the order would be: Aberlour 10 Old Pulteney 12 Johnnie Walker Double Black Highland Park 12 Talisker 10 I would also approach the tasting with an open mind as you may find things in the drinks that you did not find before because of the order of the drinks and your mood

Hi...I'm Tom, I'm 33 and I live in Manchester. Got into whisky in a serious way about four years ago. Hated all well-known blends. Too many tasted like petrol. Then someone gave me a bottle of Bailie Nicol Jarvie and I was blown away by how nice it was. Maybe I'm warped but I can't resist Caol Ila....

Jura Superstition, on reduction to £24.00 ish... in Morrisons. Is this a decent whisky to buy at this price and how does it compare taste-wise to Jura 10yr? Thanks OBG It is peatier and smother than the 10 year old. I would say it was like a mix between the 10 and Prophesy. If you like Jura, get it

I voted for Aberlour 10, it is an amazing malt at the price point and just like dramtastic, I think I have bought more bottles of this than any other malt
I found the Glenfiddich 12 to be missing something
The Glenlivet 12 is nice but I tend to dismiss it next to the 15 French Oak which I adore.
