Re: GLEN GARIOCH UNVEILS NEW SMALL BATCH RELEASE

£55 seems a very reasonable price for such a limited edition. I would expect it to get snapped up very quickly. This means of course that I will probably never get to try one ever. The 1994 and 1990 vintages are still available and neither are silly money. Go to either Royal Mile whiskies or ...

Re: What is your whisky of the year for 2011?

Where can you buy the Redbreast 12 CS? I'm based in Germany Bruce so I can't help you on where to get a bottle in the UK. Have you tried the usual suspects? TWE - MoM? Tam's? No, but will look out for it. I'll see if Gordon and MacPhail's have it, when I go to Speyside. They have a good stock of Ir...

Arran 12 CS is a possibility, as is Benriach Solstice.

The new Bruichladdich 10 year old is excellent as well.

Sounds awesome.

Can't think of a genius dram from 2011 off the top of my head. Usually there are a lot. Maybe I'll think of more when my mind is clearer.

Tis a bit late/early to think too hard sir...

Re: What is your whisky of the year for 2011?

Glen Moray 10 Chardonnay matured is a good choice.

I featured it in my event in Dufftown and it went down rather well. Unusual to have a 10 year old bottling at 40%abv to enthuse about.

Good location and well priced but maybe the date should be moved to either November or March.
