Re: Signatory Scottish Wildlife

Yeah I think the lads over there have got a bit more experience of drinking horse piss than we have. I was wondering the experience of the tasting panel on whisky fun, it doesn't seem to be the same people for long periods which surely changes the accuracy/fairness of there rating system. Or...

Re: Signatory Scottish Wildlife

Thanks Willie and Gordon. I just had a look at both your tasting notes on SOI and can see it doesn't sound great. However I also found this on whiskyfun, which seems to suggest a different opinion - although there are no tasting notes. http://www.whiskyfun.com/ArchiveJune04.html#200604 about a third...

Signatory Scottish Wildlife

I've recently been given this box set as a gift and would like to find out more about it. Does anyone have any information on it, when it was released, any more in the series etc? The four minatures are all 10 year olds and 43%.

There are a few bottles on ebay.com at around $40, it doesn't mention anything about postage to the UK though. Also they are half bottles 375ml!

Good luck in your search!

Is this release going to be a permanent addition or a relatively limited run like the "**** Young" series? According to the distillery there will be 18,000 bottles released and when its gone, its gone! Does anyone else think it is strange that the 3 major whisky shops in the UK have alrea...

Re: Supernova Relaunch

The one pictured on the Ardbeg shop is the general release and it will be priced at £79.95.

I'm a bit surprised at the price, as LFW, RMW and TWE were all selling it at or around £73, but they are all now sold out!!

I heard that 2700 bottles of the Supernova will be released in Sweden this summer. Does anybody know how many bottles that will be released in total? There will be 3,000 cases released in total at the end of April, priced around £80 from the distillery, so 18,000 bottles. Does anyone know how this ...

Looking for Caol Ila Flora Fauna Cask strength box

Hi everyone, I am searching for a replacement box for my Caol ila cask strength flora and fauna bottle after my one got badly damaged through damp!! Commission rate of 15% plus vat is also the same as McTears. Rosebankfan Just received the catalogue this morning and the commission is 20% of the hammer price then VAT on top of that! Does anyone know why they would charge more commission than McTears? Is it just at the auction houses discretion o...

I personally find that hard to believe as i spoke to someone well connected at Oddbins who was unable to disclose the information for legal reasons so if they have, they are taking a big risk in doing so as it could cost them their job. Just wondering as to what legal reasons would prevent Oddbins ...

Re: Ardbeg Blasda and even Mór

In my opinion the release of a second Mor will increase the value of the original in the short term, as collectors will want both bottles and pay extorted prices to get one. The profiteers will sell their originals to conicide with the new release, as the second release will provide a new wave of in...

Feisislay, I don't think anyone would have a problem with you,if you came on to the forum with a bottle to sell (close to the RRP) to a forum member who had missd out on a bottle.
