Don't know what is going on with the notes tonight. The Aberlour a'bunadh batch 13 is much better than I remember. Each glass was slightly different. I found loads of caramel, some oranges and apples (berries and cocoanut upon occasion), maltiness becomes apparent at times. Definitely a good a'buna...

Islay Brewery Wort'n'ale. Brewed using Bruichladdich worts and added hops. Funny that they manage to get 9% abv, while 'Laddie' wash is usually only 8%.

I guess the worts used was intended for Port Charlotte. It's a bit smoky and fruity. Very good :P

Plenty of liquorice to be found in the taste and finish of Laphroaig 10 Cask Strength. I find it in almost all smoky whiskies and think it's a result of the peating process.
