Macallan Over 25

Sirs, I've just acquired a bottle of Macallan Over 25 Anniversary Malt, bottled 1998, distilled in 1972 from a reputable merchant around here, and was wondering if I've paid too much or not. The bottle was priced at 2.900 BRL, and after some small talk, I bought it for 2.500 which is around 700 poun...

Hello Sirs. Just joined today. I'm a big fan of single malts, specially Islay ones. I'm from São Paulo, Brazil, which is a big disadvantage, since the market here is completely taken by blended - and specially cheap - whiskies. However, in the last 1-2 years, I've noticed an increase in the variety ...

Re: Cigar/Scotch Pairing

Hi Everyone, Can anyone recommend a good cigar for pairing with Johnny Walker Black? A great while back I had a Glenlivet 12 with a cigar but can't remember which one. What I do remember was how well they went together. The cigar made the fruity flavors of the scotch come though really nicely. The ...

Re: Newbie Looking for Smoke

Hello sir. Sorry if my english is imprecise. I'm Brazilian and a total smokehead for whiskies. Before venturing into the higher-end peated whiskies, I would recommend you to try your Laphro Quarter Cask with a dash of water. The Laphro 18YO and QC tastes almost like cask strenght. After tasting the ...
