Re: ISO Highland park singel casks for USA

Haven't seen those in a long time. I was at a tasting years back that had four of them, and a 27 yo "Oklahoma" bottling was fantastic as was a 14 yo "Texas" cask. I still have a bottle of the Texas cask that I found at Specs in Houston but that was years ago.

I ordered from TWE for the first time in a while to get those bottles unavailable on this side of the pond. The USD-GBP conversion rate is better and the customs charges have largely gone away. Picked up:

Paul John Edited
Spirit of Hven Tycho's Star
Nikka Pure Malt Black

Re: Happy Birthday Bladnoch Cask 200

From what I gather from another forum, our barrel is likely with Whiskybroker (run by Raymond's son?). Someone recently got a barrel bottled and said the process went smoothly. I also heard that the Bladnoch liquidators had reached out to people who have casks, but my address has changed and I never...

Re: International retailers that ship to the US

The majority of Americans i know of use TWE http://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/ Royal Mile http://www.royalmilewhiskies.com/ and Master Of Malt http://www.masterofmalt.com/ They should remove the VAT which will help with shipping costs. Email them for info. I've ordered from all 3 of these shops for ...

I've noticed a negative change in the last 2 bottles I've had, which happened to be from the period where the prIce of Laga 16 here in NY was down below $50 a bottle at a couple of the shops. Not sure if it's related or not.

I was at an HP tasting years ago that featured a few single casks that were all great. One of them was a 27 year old bottled for an Oklahoma club (cask #8294?) that remains my favorite whisky ever. I got hold of another 27 year old with a similar cask # that was an excellent whisky also. I hope you ...
