Even though you probably made this decision long ago... my answer is the Glengoyne Cask Strength. I love Glendronach and Glengoyne. I would say I love them equally but Glendronach, with their single casks, have given me a lot more variety, so maybe a slight edge to them overall. But in this decision...

I like reading these tasting notes.

Personally I'd like to see a write up of any whisky you have rated a 93+.

I have always found reading a few 93+ write ups gives better perspective to the reviewers personal biases (which we all have of course).

Anyway... keep up the good work.

My notes were... Color - Deep gold/amber Nose- The smokiness actually simplifies the nose to more peat, sea, and smoke, with a little sweetness in between. Taste- Starts out silky for the strength with some classic peaty, briny notes, then brings on lots of drying smoke. Finish- sweet wood smokiness...
