I stumbled upon it on Serge Valentins blog. from whisky-pages.com : Initially available in the Czech Republic and Bulgaria, later in other markets I can't find much about this on...

Re: Amrut tasting, Edinburgh

Thankyou very much, Ashok. I've had the 46 plus an older cask strengh. They were both very good. And recently I bought the Fusion - I think I'll have some now :-)

Re: Wild Turkey 101 8 Year Old

Perhaps. It's hard to tell coming from Denmark, but I've had a few of the most common ones. I think it's pretty much as good as it gets if you don't want to spend a small fortune..

Re: Which Talisker whiskey to choose

It depends on whiich Distillers Edition - I suggest you try them all to decide. ... Thanks, it sounds expensive ;) Talisker is the oddball where the younger whiskies are expensive and it doesn't translate to the older ones as quickly. I'm much more a fan of the 18 as it holds my interest for a long...

Jim Beam Black these days

Hello there!
Has anyone tried the new JB Black? It used to be 8 years old, but recently they changed it to 6 years. Is it much different now? Better or worse?

I forgot Rittenhouse Rye. Could well be the best buy in american whiskey. It's cold outside and I'm waiting for it to come back on the shelves..

Irish whisky prices gone crazy?

The price of Redbreast 12:
Sept. 2010: 23,79 pounds ex. vat on TWE.
The price right now is 33,29 pounds ex. vat.

That's a FORTY percent increase in only 17 months. Why???

Re: Your top 5 bang for your buck whiskys

Whisky prices keep going up in spite of the crises, so this is a good question! 1. JW Red. King of the cheapest in my country (Denmark). Easily available on discount for 100 DKK, which is roughly 11 pounds. 2. Four Roses bourbon. 18 pounds in Denmark. 3. Buffalo Trace bourbon. 22.75 pounds TWE 4. El...
