IF YOU GO FURTHER DOWN THE CLYDE YOU MIGHT COME TO THE ISLAND OF ARRAN WHERE THE NEW DISTILLERY BOTTLES A SIX YEAR OLD, IF MY MEMORY SERVES ME RIGHT. I HAVE NOT TASTED IT YET SO CAN NOT TELL YOU ANY MORE ABOUT IT.

Hi Yorkie I think the Auchentoshan no age is a great dram. I like it better than the 10yr old. As for the other part of your question it was available from Gorden & Macphail before Xmas at £12.31 a bottle which can't be bad. Only problem was you had to buy 6 bottles Traditionaly people thought l...

LOWLAND DISTILLERYS

CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHY THERE ARE SO FEW LOWLAND DISTILLERYS LEFT? SURELY NOBODY CLOSES A DISTILLERY BECAUSE IT LACKS "WINDSWEPT BUCCANEERING GLAMOUR" AS MICHAEL JACKSON SUGGESTS. AT ONE TIME CENTRAL SCOTLAND HAD MORE DISTILLERYS THAN ANY WHERE ELSE.
