I could. Surprised you didn't get the 1999 as well.

Thanks. That is helpful. Just a series of different labels then, like their other series.

Re: How to know Noh

What does a Noh label mean, if anything? I can't figure out the difference between ones that have "Noh" and ones that do not. The bottles look different too. How do they decide when a cask gets a Noh release?

Ardbeg "Ardbeg Day".

Kind of a lame name to be honest. Is this even a committee release... doesn't seem to indicate so on the bottle. Just another release then. But from the small sample I had a few weeks back, it was very good.

Re: What is your most recent (whisky) purchase.

Came back from a recent trip to Islay. Had a wonderful time at Laphroaig, Ardbeg, and Bruichladdich, and spending tons of money at the bars drinking some wonderful treasures. Brought back Octomore Comus (had to get this because I was a big fan of the 02.2 Orpheus, and I love the concept of peaty whi...

Re: Ardbeg Day Whisky

Got to try a small, advance sample a couple of weeks ago, shared by a very generous person. I absolutely loved it. Very different than last year's Alligator, and much better. There is a lively fruit sweetness to it intermixed with the usual Ardbeg peat.... almost like it spent some time in a former ...

Re: What is your most recent (whisky) purchase.

I caved in and got an Ardbeg Alligator. Resisted for a while mainly because I don't want to support their limited releases that are way more expensive than other limited releases like the ones from Laphroaig (e.g. Cairdeas and triple wood)...... But curiosity got the better of me and I got one

Shipping whisky during weather extremes?

Is shipping whisky during severe weather extremes (hot or cold) a bad idea? I've always wondered. I know its bad for wine, and I avoid shipping any wine during hot months, but are spirits susceptible to heat damage as well during a 4-5 day shipment?

Anyone who saw AMC's The Killing pick up on the single malt connection? (Spoilers below!!!!)
