Re: Happy Birthday Bladnoch Cask 200

Hey Jobi, Thanks for posting! I believe you're right, Martin Armstrong is Raymond's son, ie "Whiskybroker" and you can find him on Facebook. Unless I missed it, Martin said he'd check up on our cask that he perhaps did have it, but I haven't heard anything about it yet. Also check and join...

I'm still wondering too Ganga??
The "Bladnoch Chat" group on Facebook hasn't updated yet.
Has anyone heard from the distillery about it yet?

Hey Ganga! Good to "see" you again too! And nice to see you as the top poster, congratulations! I'm hunting for the original posting thread to get all our names, info, etc, but without any luck. Any chance you know it? I'm sharing my 1/10th share with Les Taylor. But I'd love to get the li...

Re: Happy Birthday Bladnoch Cask 200

Hello all, it's been awhile! :D I'm thinking of getting in touch with the new owners of Bladnoch to inquire about our cask, which turns 8 March 28th, 2016. I think it's still best to bottle sometime in 2017 when the distillery celebrates 200 years. Thoughts, opinions, input? All the best whisky wish...

Re: Single Malts at Schipol Airport?

I expect they'll have the newly release vintages from Highland Park, 1973, 1994 and 1998. Tell them to get you the 1973! Schipol has the small whisky and cigar shop just close to the big duty free shop, some good stuff there. I'll be passing through in a week and the Thursday after that!

Re: Berry Bros own label bottlings

I think their bottlings are great, some better than others of course. If it's possible to taste do so and pick a favorite. I just tasted last weekend an 18y (??) Laphroaig that was right on! Any idea if this was their 1990/2008 Laphroaig, at 55.6%? That's the one I have, and while I haven't opened ...

Re: Ardbeg Blasda Launch

I tried it twice last week and must say, it´s a fine dram, rather sweet and smooth and bit fruity and it doesn´t hurt anybody, but it´s lacking a bit in power, deepth and presence and for it´s 40% it´s just too expensive. :| I agree here, it's good whisky, but my disappointment lies in that it...

Silly me, I voted without reading ahead first, (sorry Nick!) I went with the summer fruits since my repertoire this summer hasn't been much of that unfortunately, and with sunny days, I usually prefer something in that category. Reading further I realized I don't have all of those whiskies. And just...
