My suggestion:

If you like heavily peated malts without the medicinal flavor i recommend you the Lagavulin 12 Cask Strength, i'm actually heaving one right now and it's great.

Yummy...

Ardbeg Still young - that's really good, sweet and fruity from one side and on the other side very peaty and smokey.

My favorite - ARDBEG

When it comes to the basic character, ARDBEG is my choise- peaty and smokey but not too much( less agessive then Lagavulin), some saltiness, not medicinal(like some of the Laphroaig expessions) just like i like my islay. Other islays that i liked: Caol Ila Cask Strength Lagavulin 12 Year Old Laphroa...

Israelis as large whiskies consumers? that's new

For a country that barely drinks alcohol (an average of 15 liter of beer per person) that's good news, personally i don't see many single malt drinkers, when it comes to whisky, mosy people go for blends and irish whiskies.

My most recent purchase

I just came back from Edinburgh, tasted some whiskies at whisky fringe, at the end i got:

Laphroaig Quarter cask
Lagavulin 12 YO
Aberlour a'bunadh

They are all great, most impressed with the lagavulin.
