Its all about quality and price! The base price included 2 super pours and unlimited other whiskies - typically that you'd find at other events. By registering for Master classes each costing an additional $ 55 you got to taste some very high end malts - typically 4 -5. Using your example of Whisky ...

Perfect for "post turkey" consumption is Dalmore Mackenzie. This elixir has subtle complex flavors of dried fruit and green gages which pairs well with the traditional - normal roasted turkey and/or as an after dinner libation!

Hey Mikey!

Sorry about the duplication.
Keep checking their website as they will be adding updates on an on-going basis.
My guess is that by January next year you will have a pour list to determine if this is something you may want to attend.

Cheers,

You've got to include Aberlour 12 in the group. In Dallas you can find it for $ 30.00 though most places have it for $ 39.00

Others include
Tamdhu
Laphroaig 10
Ardbeg 10
The Speyside -12 yr single

My take on this subject is very simple: It is assumed that these people "know their wines" and have experienced the gamut of flavors normally encountered. Be that as it may, the problem I see is that there is what I call an "individual bias". Each ones taste buds are unique, that...

I am the proud owner of a 1964 Glenlivet collection bottle that is worth every cent of the asking price of $ 2000. The bottle you are inquiring about has age, but I don't know other factors such as taste, cask type, etc. which would enhance or diminish the price of the malt or perhaps even appeal to...

I have an opportunity to purchase a Balvenie Vintage Cask 1966

If I were comparing these two whiskies to musical styles, the Laphroaig QC would be equivalent to Beethoven , while Ardbeg would be Chopin!

Both have their place in the universe - depending upon mood!

There's some good suggestions made already.

Inchmurrin or Glenkinchie 10 Year Old Scotch is my suggestion,
since you will have enough left over to have a few pints at your favorite pub!
