Re: What to Purchase when in the UK?

That is exactly the thread I was looking for. Thanx for pointing it out. (I have not yet tried the "new" Ardbeg. I am mildly protesting the fact that before the old Ardbeg was taken off the shelf here in Toronto, it was readily available for CDN$74. Now that the new Ardbeg has been introdu...

What to Purchase when in the UK?

Not sure if this is the right forum for this post, but this is the forum that I always gravitate to, so thought it might be the right place. I live in Toronto, and my sister is currently traveling through the UK and returning in a couple of weeks. She has offered to bring something back for me and a...

Does anyone know if the Ardbeg uigeadail is available in North America (particularly Toronto, Canada). I am a huge Ardbeg fan but here in Toronto I have had to make do with the regularly available 10 year old (which is one of my favourites) and the 3 bottles of 17 yr. old (1 open, 2 not) that I have...

I recently had some "Red Breast" Irish Whisky and found it exceptionally creamy. A little different but I quite enjoyed it.

There is also a Glenlivet 15 yr old (French reserve?) which I recall being creamy but it has been some time since I have tried it last.

Te Bheag ?

I recently acquired a bottle of Te Bheag but have been unable to find much, if any, information on it.
Any comments? I have not yet broken the seal.

Ardbeg 17

A friend of mine mentioned the other day that there will be no more bottles of Ardbeg 17 available (at least here in Canada)?

Any truth to that rumour?

(While I prefer the 10 yr. old over the 17, I quickly ran out and bought the last 2 bottles on my local shelf. - Can't be too careful!)

Gran Reserva (21 yr. old)

One of my favourites from last year was the 21 yr. old Glenfiddich Havana Reserve. After the holiday season, I could no longer find it but noticed it again just yesterday under its new name "Gran Reserva". I plan on sampling it shortly and hopefully it will be as excellent as I remember it...
