Hi, I am about to get hold of a 50L cask which I plan on filling with (duty paid) whisky in the near future. What I'm wondering is, how long does it take for a cask to dry out (i.e how quickly will I need to fill the cask) and equally at what level can I realistically drop the cask to before I need ...

Was looking at whats the going value for corryvreckan and noticed that in the last three auctions theres been 6 in each with the value going own and down (obviously as it gets flooded) But what i'm wondering is if anyone knows anything about this? Its just it look a bit dodgy with so many being sold...

I came across this website and wondered if anyone had used them before, some of their prices look pretty good, but wondering if anyone had used them before as i've never heard of them and they don't seem to show pictures of the whiskies they sell.

Yeah I went to the 4pm tasting that had those whiskies. That only is was worth the entrance fee to the park and the £5 into the tent and still value for money! Never mind the glass along with it!

I've never been to either, but is the RMW Whisky Fringe not a better event? As far as I've know its a £25 for 4 hours, which is a £10 off voucher for a >£25 bottle of whisky and all you can drink whisky? Or have I got it wrong?

Well i now have 4x20cl (only 1 empty though) and one 35cl (empty) so i guess [2 or 3 more 20cl] and [3 or 4 35cl] would be perfect.

drank some aberlour batch 25, craggenmore 12, talisker 10, kilchoman 2, laphroaig qc, n now bruicladdich rocks.
Have been coaching my gf dad on whisky using my range and now left myself so drinking my least fav (yet grows on you) bruichladdich rocks

What would mine be? Its technically 0% (only been drinking for 3 years, my bottles are on my whiskybase wish list) but have a few bottles just now which I definately want to replace, but havent done so yet, so will be over 20% come a few months!
