Re: Opinions on Big Peat or Peat Monster?

I have tried both and I like Peat Monster. It is a nice peaty dram with a lot of maltsweetness in it.
Big Peat is too young and spirity for me.

Amazing! You might want to send your list and photos to Alistair Walker at Benriach. They, too, would be impressed, I think. Have you a favourite? pj Alistair is impressed. He has gotten the photos. Re: Rare Malts Glenlochy

You do have one of the toughest Rare Malts so to say that it is worth just 500 euro is to take doen the price alot. It is very rare with a box and the one sold at Whiskyauction last year was the first one ever to be sold at whiskyauction. You will get more out of selling it on auction than drinking ...

There will be 3,000 cases released in total at the end of April, priced around £80 from the distillery, so 18,000 bottles. Thank you bear. They will be priced quite low here in Sweden. (45 GBP has been indicated) However, they won't be released until the 1st of June. I do think that the price is wr...

Looking for BenRiach 1997, cask 83038, Gent

This cask was split in half. Half of it was bottled for Premium Spirits in Belgium (these bottles comes with a tube) and half for Malt Whisky Festival Gent (without tube and different label). You can ask about the cask selection etc. for the Uigeadail over there. Cheers Actually, I think that the recipe have changed ...

Re: Ardbeg Uigeadail and Arigh Questions?

If you look closely on the back of your Uigedail bottles you can see the lasercode on the bottle. If it says L8 it's bottled in 2008. I do have a bottle Uigeadail with L8 on it, so it has been bottled this year. I also have a Beist (70 cl) which it says on the back label "Bottled in 2008".

Excellent bottle - any story behind it that you'd care to share? Of course. I have a friend who is from Campbeltown and he has bought some casks in the early 90's.
